Exponential smoothing with separate rise and fall times.

First-order low-pass filter with independent time constants for rising and falling signals. Use it to smooth stepped or noisy control signals, or to add slew to abrupt parameter changes.

Set rise_time=0 and a long fall_time for a peak-hold-then-decay effect.
